Linnaeus has been at the forefront of grapevine virus testing for nearly twenty years, achieving IANZ accreditation in 2000 for its ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) grapevine virus testing programme. Linnaeus was also New Zealand’s first laboratory to introduce PCR testing in grapevines and now offers PCR testing for Avocado Sunblotch Viroid.
The team at Linnaeus provide a range of diagnostic and environmental testing suited to farming, horticulture and forestry.
Linnaeus is also involved in a number of research projects, including large-scale industry-funded grapevine health research projects collaborating with research teams both in New Zealand and overseas.
